Remember Me?

Magnet visits with people we haven't seen in awhile.

Performer Cheryl Horne
Magnet Theater
1. Where are you sheltering?

I live in Suffolk County, Long Island.

2. How are you staying sane?

One way I have managed to stay sane is listening to audiobooks. I really enjoy taking long drives and getting lost in a good story. Sometimes I'll "miss" my turn just to finish a chapter or two.

3. What do you miss most?

IMPROV! I miss it so much! Watching shows at the theater and performing brings me so much joy, but being connected to a community of creative people is so important. I truly missed it and I am glad we're back!

4. What don't you miss?

I am one who tends to stretch myself way too thin - overbooking my schedule and running around from place to place; I don't miss that. This season of life has given me the freedom to release the things that no longer serve me and taught me the importance of rest and self care.

5. What do you want to say to the other members of the Magnet community?

I want to thank the entire community for their resilience. Many of the arts didn't make it through this crazy year. We powered though and found new ways to play (virtually), then came back safe and strong this summer! I am grateful for this community.
