"The most important improv lesson that I have learned has been to listen to my inner voice. I think a lot of people have an inner voice that has excellent and authentic-to-self instincts. My inner voice has given me such gems as 'it would be funny to be a bicycle in this scene' and 'you should burst into tears NOW' and 'this scene doesn't need you or anything else, keep your hyperactive butt on the sidelines.' It's a noisy world and so it can be hard to tune into this voice. I think meditation, breathing exercises, and a concerted effort to be present will help you get back in touch with yourself/your voice. Oh, and stop scrolling!! It's melting your brain. "
