About the Show

The BackyardAsians are here to perform musical improv inspired by the TV shows you grew up with: blending the style of Nick Jr and PBS Kids with the unhinged chaos of Adult Swim! Through song, dance, and puppetry, they teach essential life lessons such as how to spell, how to set someone on fire, and how to dance in a jail cell.

After making their debut at Second City NYC as part of Shoes Off: All Asian Improv, the team has performed at Asian Comedy Fest, The AF Comedy Fest, and BCC's Fun & Dumb Improv Festival.

The BackyardAsians consists of veterans of Magnet Theater's Musical Megawatt teams, a star of the Off-Broadway sensation Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock LIVE, and a plucky green puppet. And before you ask, NO, she's not related to Oscar the Grouch.
