Rich Degenhardt

Bio

Rich started doing improv in 2018 because his girlfriend said he needed to make “New York friends” after moving from Iowa. In addition to making at least one genuine New York friend (Hey Tina), he discovered that he really enjoys doing improv. He credits most of this enjoyment to great teachers like Hannah Chase, Louis Kornfeld, Rick Andrews, and Peter McNerney. When not doing improv, Rich can be found playing volleyball, drawing, or chasing nostalgia through video games and movies that aren’t as good as he remembers. He also makes video games, and does that both as a hobby and a profession. Rich is from Heyworth, IL, graduated from the University of Iowa and currently lives in Brooklyn. One day, he hopes to have a plot of land and a dog that likes frisbee.
