Bio
(Perfomer)Jie is a real human person who eats a balanced diet of food found at many (too many) grocery stores. She hails no taxis and loves to death her dog, who has claims on all her real human food. Jie wasn’t raised in polite society but also doesn’t speak wolf.
Jie credits her improv education to the careful study of several Slovakian street mimes during a fateful backpacking trip in 1982, and not, since 2019, to Louis Kornfeld, Nick Kanellis, Megan Gray, Peter McNerney, Bianca Casusol, Katy Berry, Nikita Burdein, Elana Fishbein, Rick Andrews, Jamie Rivera, and all the funny, generous people who make Magnet a fantastic and psychologically safe place in which to learn and laugh and thrive.
Jie is always trying to nudge herself along, like an older, more patient toddler to a younger, much less willing toddler.
She thinks of herself as very grounded in both life and improv. She is proud and excited to perform on Megawatt team Mommy, as well as indie teams Triceratops and Great Table.
