Bio
(Performer)Daphne Oakes is a Taiwanese-Canadian sketch writer and improviser who recently moved to New York. In Seattle, she performed sketch and improv with Jet City Improv’s Squawk Squad Ensemble, Joy Market: AAPI Sketch Show, and DnDProv, and appeared in Doctor Who: Blink the Play. She also brings her comedic voice to the stage as a regular emcee at tech conferences.
She has trained in sketch, improv, and acting with Nat Silverman, Josh Jenji, Eric Moneypenny, Kate Drummond, Lee Hopps, Mike Christensen, and Sky Boggs.
Daphne’s dream in moving to NYC was to join a sketch team, and she’s THRILLED to be here!
