(Performer)

Dan Abrams is a writer living in Greenwich Village. He has written professional for film, television and the web, scripted, reality and documentary and consulted on way too many screenplays, including scripts by an academy award winner. He has a BFA in Screenwriting, with honors, from the School of Visual Arts, and also attended Bennington College.

Dan has also studied improv and sketch at the Magnet, UCB and the PIT, with such diverse and talented people as Terry Jones, Armando Diaz, Ed Herbstman, Jeff Michaelski, Alex Marino, Ali Farahnakian, Dave Rozawsky, Jean Villepique, Rebecca Drysdale, Rachel Hamilton, Billy Merritt, Dion Flynn, Blaine Swen, Rich Talarico, Mark Sutton, Joe Bill, and the entire non-musical faculty of the Magnet, as well as many others. He performs with Drivethru Baby at the Magnet and is the creator and producer of the Incubator, a four hour series of comedy shows at The Player's Theater in the village.

His greatest fear is someday going to law school. That is not his Emmy in the picture, but he likes to tell girls it is. He enjoys the New York Times crossword, very much, and thinks Paul Krugman should run the country.
