(Perfomer)

Chuck Africa is a New York City-based improviser who works full-time as a brand strategy consultant and powerpoint master. Originally from the Philippines, Chuck moved to NYC in 2012 pursue his Masters degree at New York University. He started taking improv classes at the Magnet Theater in 2017 as a way to advance in his career, thanks to a soothsaying friend's recommendation on how improv can further develop one's creativity and social skills. He has trained under Magnet icons, such as Michael Lutton, Louis Kornfeld, Megan Gray, Elana Fishbein, Nick Kanellis, Peter McNerney, Nikita Burdein, Jacob Horn, and Frank Spitznagel. Chuck has fallen in love with the art form -- nerding out on improv books, coaching newbies, and performing both Long Form Improv and Musical Improv with various teams all around the city.

Chuck is both thrilled and honored to perform on the same stage as his improv heroes at the Magnet. And just like his heroes, he's also an improv nerd and would be very much delighted to chat with anyone about this amazing art form.
