Bon Voyage, Rick!
After more than a decade of laughter, brilliant instruction, and unparalleled mentorship, we are saying a bittersweet "bon voyage" to the one and only Rick Andrews.
Rick has been a cornerstone of the Magnet Theater faculty since 2011. In that time, he hasn't just taught improv; he has helped shape the very voice and philosophy of our community. His patience, nuance, and ability to find the "extraordinary in the ordinary" have inspired countless students to become better performers and more thoughtful humans.
A Legacy on Stage
For the past 12 years, Rick has also been one half of our flagship show, Kornfeld & Andrews. Alongside Louis Kornfeld, Rick perfected a style of longform improv that is as honest as it is hilarious. Together, they created textured worlds and unforgettable characters that moved us just as much as they made us laugh.
The End of an Era (But Not the End)
While Rick is heading off on his next great adventure, the duo isn't retiring. Keep your eyes on our schedule and social media—whenever Rick is back in town, we’ll be looking to get these two masters back on stage together.
Farewell and Thanks
Rick, thank you for the thousands of scenes, the hundreds of classes, and the immeasurable impact you’ve had on the Magnet family. We wish you nothing but the best on your journey, and we truly hope you’ll come back to visit us early and often.
Farewell, Rick, and thank you for everything!
