Announcing Musical Megawatt Auditions!
We're excited to announce that we'll be holding auditions for new Musical Megawatt teams in June.
Who can audition for Musical Megawatt?
Anyone who has completed Musical 3 at the Magnet at any time is eligible to audition.
If I'm cast, what is the time commitment of being on a Musical Megawatt team?
Musical teams will perform at the theater on Thursday nights starting June 11. Shows are at 6:30pm, 7:30pm, 8:30pm, and 9:30pm. The season will last for approximately six months. Each team will have a different time slot every Thursday. In addition to performing on Thursdays, musical house teams are expected to rehearse regularly, at least three times per month.
Is there a financial commitment?
Teams are expected to cover the cost of rehearsals, which include room rentals, accompanist fees, and coach fees.
When are auditions?
Auditions will be held on Friday, June 5, from 5:30 pm to 9 pm.
Callbacks will be held on Saturday, June 6, between 5:30 pm and 9 pm.
Where are auditions?
Auditions will be held at Ripley-Grier Studios, 520 8th Ave. (between 36th and 37th Streets). You will receive a floor and studio number in the email confirming your audition time.
What is the deadline to submit?
5pm on Wednesday, May 20.
When will I know what my audition time is?
Emails with audition slots will be sent out on Friday, May 22.
