Applications open SATURDAY MARCH 15TH for the 2025 Magnet Diversity Scholarships. An info session will be held that same day (March 15th) from 1:30pm-3:30pm at Magnet Theater, with a Q&A Open House from 1:30pm-2:30pm and a Diversity Jam from 2:30pm-3:30pm.
Mark your calendars! Magnet Theater is pleased to announce that the Diversity Scholarship is running again in 2025! Applications open on SATURDAY, MARCH 15TH for the 2025 Magnet Diversity Scholarships. We have the diversity scholarship so that the Magnet population more accurately reflects our community on stage and in our classrooms.
The Magnet Diversity Scholarship Program is aimed at increasing our diversity of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, and age. Students of all experience levels are encouraged to apply as the scholarships are open to those who have never studied at Magnet, as well as to those who have partially completed the program.
Those selected will receive credits that can be used towards Improv, Musical Improv and/or Sketch Writing (please note at this time, electives are not included with the scholarship). Due to the number of scholarships we are awarding and the expected number of applicants, applications will be competitive. We encourage applicants who were not awarded a scholarship in previous years to re-apply.
An Open House will happen the same day applications open on March 15th at 1:30pm. There will be a Q&A the first hour where you can get any questions you have answered. That will be followed by a Diversity Jam! Prospective applicants are encouraged to attend to meet with current Magnet performers and Diversity Scholars. Come to ask questions, stay for the community!

2025 SCHOLARSHIP TIMELINE:
Applications open: Saturday, March 15th
Open House & Diversity Jam: Saturday March 15th from 1:30pm-3:30pm
Applications close: Monday, April 14th at 11:59pm
Interviews, for those selected: Taking place Monday, April 28th - Saturday, May 3rd. Please note that not all applicants will be selected for an interview, however, everyone will be informed whether or not they will receive an interview by Sunday, April 27th.
The new class of Diversity Scholars will be notified by Sunday, May 11th.
