Announcing the 2020 Winter Musical Circuit!

Conservatory, Musical Improv, Opportunities, The Circuit Tuesday December 10, 2019, 10:00am - by seantaylor

The Circuit is a chance for Magnet students to play on teams of their very own for a limited run of shows. It's an awesome way to work weekly with an ensemble and coach as well as get more reps under your belt. We highly recommend it!All Circuit shows take place at 11 pm on the Magnet Theater mainstage, 254 West 29th Street.

This round will be a Musical Circuit, open to any student who has completed Musical Improv Level 3 and is not currently on a house team. Teams will perform musical narratives for a run of six shows on Friday nights, January 10 through February 21 (no show on Feb. 14 for President's Day weekend).

  • Circuit teams are chosen by lottery.
  • To enter, all you have to do is fill out this application form (below)
  • The deadline to apply is 12 noon, Wednesday, December 18
  • Teams will be announced by Monday, December 23
  • First rehearsals will be the weekend of January 4 (yes, it's very early, but we wanted to get this squared away before the holidays!)

***Please read the following:***
– To apply, you must have completed the musical improv program (through musical level 3).
– Do not call or email registrar regarding application status.
– Circuit performers may miss no more than 3 total shows and practices.
– Performers are expected to rehearse with their assigned team and coach on a weekly basis.
– Teams schedule their own rehearsals and handle all logistics directly.
