Thank You For Coming Out: An LGBTQ Event

About the Show

Thank You For Coming Out and I'm From Driftwood are excited to present a Live Storytelling Event! Please join our incredibly talented group of storytellers! Support Queer Storytellers!

Jes Tom (they/them) is a weird queer stand up comic gleefully providing the nonbinary queer Asian American radical cyborg perspective that everyone never knew they wanted. They have been featured in GO Magazine, Splitsider, and the Fader, and were named one of TimeOut New York's "Comedians We're Obsessed With."

Sydnee Washington - One of the hosts of The Unofficial Expert Podcast & monthly show Hot Box Comedy, May 30th 8pm at 191 Chrystie Street (lower east side)

Donald Harrison (he/him/his) is a Philadelphia-based writer, pianist, and storyteller. He performs weekly at Philly's gay piano bar, Tavern on Camac, and will be competing in The Moth Grandslam in Philadelphia on May 23 after winning two of the Storyslams this past year. He has an MFA in creative writing from the Michener Center at UT Austin!

Tarik Daniels has performed comedy and storytelling all over the country. New York credits includes Gotham Comedy Club and The Stonewall Inn. He is also featured in the Web Series GAYS and Next Level Anxiety.

Lorena Russi Serna (she/they) is a Latina comedian from Queens who genuinely enjoys taking the bus. She's written on the digital team for the "Late Show" (Stephen Colbert), hosted Chipotle’s Snapchat channel - burritos! - and was the head writer for an upcoming Spotify web series. You can catch her performing standup around the city or on Monday nights with the Magnet Sketch team, "Mama's Boy." Outside of comedy, Lorena is a videographer and an ex-pro soccer player, currently playing on a Nike sponsored team, where she day dreams about having symmetrical knees.
