About the Show

LEOTARD FOUNDATION is Ariel Dumas and Jennifer Mills. They perform highly-stylized, fully-improvised musical pieces that are inspired by the works of Stephen Sondheim. Relying on music to explore relationships in two-person scenes, Leotards challenge themselves with complex music and unconventional characters making shows that are dramatic, operatic, and usually a little gross. Jennifer and Ariel met when they were students in the Second City Music Improv Conservatory program in Chicago. They're both from suburban Minnesota, but did not know each other at that time.
