Class Description

It all comes back. The La Ronde is a longform centered around a circle of characters and the ways their world's connect. Students will work on fostering connectivity between players and establishing strong grounded characters to create some powerfully funny scenes. To complement this circular form, students will be learning and performing, "in the round," with the performers in the center, and the audience arranged around them. Everyone's connected. It all comes back.

PREREQUISITES: Improv Level Three or Instructor Approval

All students will be asked to show proof of vaccination prior to the first session in order to participate in this class

Instructor: Rick Andrews

Rick Andrews is a teacher and performer at The Magnet Theater, and has been studying, performing, and teaching improvisation since 1999.

He began improvising with Improv Boston, and continued with a stint in Saint Louis, MO. He is an adjunct at Columbia University, teaching in the MFA acting program, on the board of The Unscripted Project, and has taught at hundreds of festivals, theaters, and companies around the globe.
