Advanced Scenework Gauntlet! (3 sessions, in-person) with Rick Andrews
Class Description
Scenes! We'll do scenes! So many scenes. Scenework exercises, Scenes with notes, scenes with side coaching, regular old scenes. Good scenes, bad scenes, boring scenes, the best scenes you've ever done. Scenes with a suggestion, without a suggestion. We'll even do a scene and then do that exact same scene again. Any form is only as good as its scenes. Which is true, but we won't really talk about it, because we're not doing forms here, JUST SCENES.
Rick Andrews is a teacher and performer at The Magnet Theater, and has been studying, performing, and teaching improvisation since 1999.
He began improvising with Improv Boston, and continued with a stint in Saint Louis, MO. He is an adjunct at Columbia University, teaching in the MFA acting program, on the board of The Unscripted Project, and has taught at hundreds of festivals, theaters, and companies around the globe.
At Magnet, you can see him in The Armando Diaz Experience and Kornfeld and Andrews.
