Class Description

This class is an advanced sketch writing workshop that will give you the experience of working as a writer on a professional comedy show. Students will learn how to better craft sketches, expand their writing portfolio, collaborate with a team of writers, and produce their own sketches for performance. The class will conclude with two graduation performances, in which students will be responsible for casting, rehearsing, directing, and producing their work for the stage. Prerequisite to apply: Sketch Writing Level One and/or Participation in Moxie or Remix. 8 weekly sessions

Instructor: Lanee' Sanders

A comedy writer, improviser, and breakfast aficionado hailing from Virginia, Lanee' is a woman of great depth and international intrigue. She's never met a person living or dead who's been able to look her in eyes without saying "hello" or walking away. That's a fact.
Here are some more. Lanee' began studying improv and sketch comedy at the Magnet Theater in 2015. She's on an indie team of wildly huggable individuals, The Screwdriverz. Her favorite humans are funny humans and humans who smell heavily of bar soap. A combination of the two would be completely irresistible to a wild Lanee'.
